BOB & KAY JOHNSTON
MEMORIAL FUND

Your Donation Is Greatly Appreciated!
Thanks for stopping by!
Amy, Katie and Carrie Johnston created the Bob & Kay Johnston Memorial Foundation in 2020 after the loss of their mother and father. As they reflected on how grateful they were for the life and love they were provided by their parents, they wanted to try to find ways to pay it forward.

Both Bob and Kay exemplified outstanding support to their communities. Bob was a friend to absolutely everyone he met. There were no boundaries to his gracious heart. He welcomed new friends with opened arms and referred to old friendships as extensions to the family. For Bob, it was always "FAMILY FIRST," and that family extended far beyond blood relatives. He treated all people as equals, no matter age, race, shape, size, religious beliefs or history of wrong doing.
Kay Johnston was a peacemaker to anyone who needed a soothing soul to calm them. She worked and retired from the local medical center, where she spent more than 25 years as a Labor and Delivery nurse and Child-Health Supervisor. As a healthcare worker, Kay dedicated countless hours to working with those with medical needs in her community. When she wasn't working or catching up on sleep, she was treasuring the time spent with her three daughters. She was a sounding board to many and shared advice (both medical and personal) whenever she could, and always to benefit others.

THE JOHSNTON GIRLS
"Amy J."

Amy is enjoying the empty nest season of her life as she and her husband (Joe) are getting used to having kids in college and now, one out of college! Hayley (23) and Hannah (20) Hartle will be seen driving golf carts and helping the crowds during our annual golf outing. When life slowed down, Amy and Joe found time to tie the knot in Dec. 2022. Congratulations to the newly weds!

"This scholarship is a labor of love. It is so much hard work to fundraise year after year, but to see the good in giving back to our community makes it all worth it! Plus, I get to live in the memory of my mom and dad every year at our annual golf outing and when we give away our scholarships during the BHS scholarship banquet!

Katie is an audiologist for UPMC health system. She and her husband, Mike love spending time with their kids; Emily (15), Trey (12) and Jaxon (9). In their free time they will take their new puppy, Grey, for a walk in Buhl Park (Sharon, PA area). One thing is for sure, the Bayer Clan will NEVER miss their annual vacation to North Myrtle Beach, SC. After all this is the Johnston's home away from home!

"I love catching up with everyone at our annual golf outing. I get to see friends from high school and family that lives out of state! I am just so grateful for everyone.!"

Carrie is the proud owner of two local businesses; Beavtown & Hometown-Made Production Facility. When she is not grinding at her businesses, she is bouncing from the ball fields to the dance studio and then back to the Beaver County Ice Arena to watch her kids, Reese (11), Carson (9) and Ellie (5) in all their activities!
Jeff (husband) and Carrie are sure to find time to spend with family and friends who are like family!

"I am so grateful for the friends and family I have. There is no doubt that there was a plan when God put each and every friend or family member in our lives. He knew someday we would need them to lean out them when we lost Mom & Dad!"

Our Mission
Our mission is to establish funds that will allow our foundation to give annual scholarships through the BEAVER AREA SCHOOL DISTRICT EDUCATION FOUNDATION.
We hope to give more and more to the community as funds are raised. Spreading the love and good-will we were taught while Bob and Kay Johnston were here.
